Getting Started
Set up your account and connect your WhatsApp number
Create your account
Sign up with your email and password on the login screen. New accounts receive free credits to get started. You can also sign in with Google for quick access.
Connect your WhatsApp Business Number
Go to Account → Connected Numbers and click "Connect Number". A Meta login popup will open — log in with the Facebook account linked to your WhatsApp Business Account and follow the steps. Your number will appear in the list once connected.
Buy Credits
Each message sent costs 1 credit. Click the credit widget in the sidebar or go to Settings → Credits to purchase a credit pack. Credits never expire as long as your account is active.

Creating Message Templates
Templates must be approved by Meta before you can send them
⚠️ WhatsApp requires all bulk messages to use pre-approved templates. You cannot send free-form messages in bulk — only template messages are allowed.
Open the Template Builder
Go to Templates in the sidebar and click "+ New". The template builder opens on the left with a live WhatsApp preview on the right.
Fill in Basic Info
Enter a Template Name (lowercase, underscores only — e.g.
welcome_message), choose a Category (Marketing, Utility, or Authentication), and select a Language.Add a Header (Optional)
Choose from None, Text, Image, Video, Document, or Location. For media headers, paste a public URL to your file. This appears at the top of the WhatsApp message bubble.
Write the Body
Type your message in the Body field. Use
{{1}}, {{2}} etc. for personalization (e.g. contact name). Supports *bold*, _italic_, and ~strikethrough~. The preview updates live as you type.Add Buttons (Optional)
Add up to 10 buttons: Quick Reply (tap to reply), URL (opens a link), Phone (calls a number), or Copy Code (copies a coupon). Buttons appear below the message bubble.
Submit for Review
Click "Submit for Review". Meta typically reviews templates within a few minutes to a few hours. You'll see the status change from PENDING to APPROVED or REJECTED automatically.
💡 Tip: Marketing templates have stricter review. Use clear, non-spammy language. Utility templates (order updates, alerts) get approved faster.

Managing Contacts
Import your recipient list before creating campaigns
Paste CSV
Go to Contacts and paste contacts directly in the text area in this format:
Name, Phone, Message — one per line. Phone numbers can be 10 digits (auto-prefixed with 91) or full format with country code.Import from CSV or Excel
Upload a .csv or .xlsx file with columns:
name, phone, message. Download the template file for the correct format.Save to Database
After importing, click "Save to DB" to permanently store contacts. Unsaved contacts are lost on page refresh. Saved contacts appear in the campaign contact selector.
🚫 Important: Only message contacts who have explicitly opted in to receive WhatsApp messages from your business. Sending unsolicited messages violates WhatsApp policy and can get your number banned.

Running Campaigns
Send bulk messages to your contact list
Create a Campaign
Go to Campaigns, enter a campaign name, select an APPROVED template, map placeholders to contact fields (name, phone, or custom text), and select contacts. Click "Create Campaign".

{{1}}, {{2}} variables, map each to a contact field. For example, {{1}} → Contact Name will personalize each message with the recipient's name.Start the Campaign
Once created, the campaign is in draft status. Click "▶ Start" to begin sending. Messages are sent with a random 5–15 second delay between each to avoid spam detection. You can "⏸ Pause" at any time.
Track Delivery
Go to Campaign Logs, select your campaign, and see per-message delivery status: sent, delivered, read, or failed with error reasons.
💡 Tip: Leave contacts empty when creating a campaign to send to all saved contacts. Or hold Ctrl/Cmd to select specific contacts.

Settings & Auto-Reply
Configure sending limits and automated responses
Sending Limits
Set hourly and daily message limits to stay within WhatsApp's messaging tier. New numbers are limited to 250 messages/day. Set to 0 for unlimited (not recommended for new numbers). Also configure min/max gap (seconds) between messages.
Auto-Reply
Enable auto-reply to automatically respond to incoming messages. Without a Groq key, your System Prompt text is sent as a static reply. Add a Groq API key in Account settings to enable AI-powered dynamic replies using Llama 3.
Groq API Key (AI Replies)
Get a free Groq API key at console.groq.com. Add it in Account → Groq API Key. Once set, incoming messages trigger an AI response based on your system prompt.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions and answers
Why was my template rejected?
Meta rejects templates that are too promotional, contain prohibited content, or don't follow their guidelines. Try rephrasing with a clearer purpose, avoid all-caps, and don't include URLs in marketing templates unless necessary.
Why are messages sending slowly?
WaBlast adds a 5–15 second random delay between messages to protect your number from being flagged as spam by WhatsApp. This is intentional and helps maintain your number's quality rating.
What is a quality rating?
Meta assigns a quality rating (GREEN, YELLOW, RED) to your WhatsApp number based on how recipients interact with your messages. Too many blocks or reports lower your rating and reduce your daily messaging limit.
Can I send messages without a template?
No. WhatsApp Business API only allows template messages for outbound bulk messaging. Free-form messages can only be sent within a 24-hour customer service window (when a customer messages you first).
How many messages can I send per day?
New WhatsApp Business numbers start at 250 messages/day (Tier 1). As your number builds history and maintains a good quality rating, Meta automatically increases this to 1,000 → 10,000 → 100,000/day.
My campaign stopped mid-way, why?
This usually happens when you run out of credits. Check your credit balance in the sidebar. If you have credits, check Campaign Logs for error messages — it could also be a Meta API rate limit or token expiry.
How do I disconnect my WhatsApp number?
Go to Account → Connected Numbers and click "Disconnect" next to your number. This removes your number from WaBlast but does not affect your Meta WhatsApp Business Account.
Is my data safe?
Yes. All data is stored encrypted on Supabase with row-level security. Your WhatsApp access tokens are encrypted at rest. We never share or sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
